Vision Statement for Industrialization in Kandhamal District

The vision for changing of Industrial scenario in Kandhaml District shall be an integrated approach by capacity building for development of Entrepreneurship for generating sustainable employment to local people by making cLuSterization under msme sector through optimum utilization of available local raw materials ( resources like turmeric /POTATO /GROUND NUT /MANGO in  agro based AND SIALI LEAF IN FOREST BASED).

INTRODUCTION 
District Industries Centre, Phulbani has been established during 1978 for Industrial development of Boudh – Kandhamal Districts. After separation of the Boudh District in 1994 , the area of operation of DIC,Phulbani now covers entire Revenue District of Kandhamal only . 

II.OBJECTIVES 
1.Promotion of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises. 
2.Implementation of Self-Employment Programme like PMEGP, Handicrafts. 
3.DIC aims at to adopt a Professional approach, work pro actively, problem solving and create entrepreneurship at the field level so as to accelerate the process of Industrialization in the District. 
4.DIC will act as a catalyst in the process of Industrialization so as to help the people to enjoy direct benefit in terms of employment, improved income level and multiplier effects. 

III.STAFFING PATTERN.
DIC constituted a cutting edge field organization where General Manager, DIC is the first person with whom a Small Entrepreneurs interacts at root level .The present staffing pattern of DIC, Phulbani s given below.
