DISTRICT HEADQUARTER HOSPITAL, PHULBANI.
The district headquarter hospital, Phulbani is
established on conversion of SD Hospital, Phulbani with addition of TB
clinic from 1964, specialist services in 11 discipline from 1981, PP
centre in 1987, Dist. TB center in 1983, temporary hospital ward in
1984, Blood bank in 1985, Baby friendly hospital in 1995, Zilla Swasthya
Samiti in 1996 and User improvement fund in 1997.
DHH, Phulbani caters to the people living in urban and
rural areas in the Kandhamal district. This hospital is situated in the
prime location of Phulbani town. This hospital is the secondary level
Referral hospital for CHC, Primary Health Centre and Sub Divisional
Hospital. It covers a population of 7.40 lakhs.
It has sanction strength of 186 beds. Out of which 164
beds are functional.
